ESCP Global Executive Ph.D. Lead Through Knowledge
In summary
Why do many employee engagement strategies underperform? Across diverse employee segments and contexts this challenge persists in both academic and business circles.
In this online masterclass, Ehab AbdelHafez, a recent Global Executive PhD graduate and Executive Head of International Talent Acquisition at GE HealthCare, will share insights from his doctoral research that looked at employee engagement in-depth. The result is a multi-level perspective across three themes:
- Tailoring engagement approaches across career stages, supported by practical recommendations for HR practitioners.
- Bridging engagement theory and career development to propose evidence-based interventions for organisations.
- Introducing psychological availability as a critical but understudied factor shaping engagement capacity, drawing on Conservation of Resources (COR) theory and the Work-Home Resources (WHR) model.
Together, these studies advance both theoretical understanding and practical application, offering new frameworks to design more targeted and effective engagement strategies.
This masterclass will be followed by a presentation of the Global Executive Ph.D., a programme that allows senior executives to address complex organisational challenges while delivering real-world impact through research.
